Samoëns village in the winter
The village is classed as an “area of art and history”. In the village you will find all the shops and services : creche, ski school, taxis, Tourist Office, mountain guide bureau, ice rink, cinema etc..
The access into the ski area is by the cable-car (the Grand Massif Express) which takes 8 minutes. The free ski bus operates to take you to the cable-car from the centre of the village.
The centre of the village is closed to vehicles during the holiday period.
On the plateau des Saix at 1600m you will find several rental apartments, some ski shops and also some restaurants.
Samoëns in the summer
The village lives at the rythmn of it’s heritage (botanical garden, classed historical monuments, ecomuseum) and it’s infrastructures ( recreational area, swimming complex with 5 pools, 2 lakes, woodland adventure course, tennis...). It is also the starting point of numerous trails for walkers and cyclists.
The Wednesday village market offers regional produce aswell as much more.
